A Simple and Easy Ritual for a Peaceful Night's Sleep


 

Like most people, my mind is still going by the time I am ready to go to bed. Over the past few months I have come up with a simple ritual that has helped me get a better night’s sleep. Beyond that, this ritual helps me wind down and shift gears so that by the time I get into bed, I practically pass out the moment my head hits the pillow. I do love a nice shower or bath before bed but sometimes that just isn’t in the cards. My new ritual is quick and easy and it works.

 

After I wash my face, while my hair is still up, I take a nickel sized amount of Amayori’s Dreams of Gion Hikaru Oil and massage my shoulder and neck. I also use the oil across my collar bone – all done while breathing in deeply and enjoying the beautiful, intoxicating aromatherapy fragrance.

 

This doesn’t have to take long at all. In fact, my self-massage takes about a minute. Is an extra minute worth a peaceful night sleep? You bet it is.
