This minimalist-designed diffuser stone by Fumie Shibata requires neither heat nor power. By simply placing a few drops of essential oils across the top of the stone, an intimate scent experience is born. Use this diffuser to fragrance smaller spaces such as an office desktop, bedside table, bathroom, or closet.

The Maker

The Tokoname Stone Diffuser is produced by @aroma, a Japan-based company that specializes in scent creation.

Located in Aichi prefecture, Tokoname is a city famous for its beautiful teapots and sets. This diffuser was born from a challenge to designer Fumie Shibata to create a new generation of stone diffusers that carried on the craftsmanship of Tokoname to a new generation. Each diffuser is made in one of six ancient kilns located in Tokoname.

The Ritual

Simply add 3–5 drops of essential oil to the top of the diffuser and enjoy. Add more essential oil as the scent begins to fade.

Care

Rinse with water and dry well if the surface becomes dirty.
