Meditating In the Shower - My Shower Ritual

I have always had an on / off relationship with what I call “proper” meditation. Though I have studied it and practiced it over the years, I have to admit that there are moments when I just can’t get into it. Like many, I find it hard to quiet my mind, especially when there are hundreds of wonderful things I could be doing.

When I was traveling in Japan and was introduced to bathing rituals, I felt like I had found my home. Bathing in Japan is considered a form of meditation and is treated as such. At the same time, it’s effortless. Being surrounded by water is calming, healing, and relaxing. With intentional bathing, it’s almost as if the water does the work for you. All you have to do is….. nothing. And that’s why I love bathing rituals. There is nothing to do but just be in the moment.

Being a New Yorker, I know many women who have lovely apartments, but no bath tubs. I also know many women across the globe who are busy with careers, children, and so on. As much as they would like to take a bath, often it’s just not an option. The shower can provide you with the same meditative experience when done with intention. This is what led to Shower Mochi. Shower Mochi gives you that same aromatic, meditative experience in an easy to use tablet for the shower. Shower Mochi is designed to be savored and enjoyed. It is our hope that we can help you stop, breath and do absolutely nothing. Just be where you are and enjoy Shower Mochi’s aromatherapy fragrance and benefits. I love to pair up Shower Mochi with a coordinating Shower Gel and Amayori's Agave Fiber Washcloth. We have bundled these items for you in our new Koyo Shower Set  so that you can easily experience this relaxing, meditative ritual.

Mediating in the shower is about breathing and being present. Be in the moment, be aware of your breath. Stop. Do nothing. And like magic, you're  meditating.

Warm wishes,
Francoise
