The Perfect Post-Hike Soak

The Perfect Post-Hike Soak

After a hike, there is nothing more rejuvenating than a bathing ritual using the Rotenburo Air collection. An aromatic journey for rejuvenation, this combination of essential oils is rich in monoterpenes. Monoterpenes are chemical constituents found in certain essential oils such as Rotenburo Air’s yuzu, wild orange, white pine, balsam fir, hemlock spruce, and frankincense. In aromatic chemistry, monoterpenes are considered energizing, refreshing, uplifting, and support the nervous system, so they are helpful with stress and anxiety. In addition, monoterpene-rich essential oils act as dermal penetration enhancers, which means they will help all of the oils, as well as other ingredients in our soaks, penetrate the skin for a deep, full-body experience.

From a scent perspective, I feel as if Rotenburo Air is a continuation of a wonderful day outdoors. The scent of fresh, clean air and coniferous trees is a beautiful close to a day among nature.

Here is my favorite ritual after hiking:

  1. Wash with Rotenburo Air Aromatic Body Wash.
  2. Soak in the Rotenburo Air Shizumi Bath Salts: they contain multiple sea salts from around the world and will relax and detoxify tired muscles. In addition, the minerals from multiple Japanese seaweeds soothe and nurture the entire body.
  3. Mist and hydrate with Rotenburo Air Body Misting Essence.
  4. Nourish the skin through self-massage with the Rotenburo Air Hikaru Multi-Use Oil. Focus on the legs, feet, and lower back.

After a hike and this bathing ritual, deep, restorative sleep should be easy. I can’t think of a more perfect day…

Warmest wishes,

Françoise
